Dish teamed up with Southwest to give passengers free TV channels on their flight, but there was a problem – the plane’s wi-fi connection. Potential customers became frustrated with slow-loading episodes. Our approach was to downplay the TV and focus on the FREE. Because, let’s face it, watching free TV is still way more fun than staring at the free safety pamphlets.

reach potential customers by offering free tv on their flight.

the solution:
“but hey, it’s free!”

the campaign featured quick, free-themed headlines for fast-paced travelers and saved the humor for those with time to kill.
the flight:
while their free tv buffered, passengers were shown the latest dish commercial and could sign up for special offer emails.
